London, UK, 30 October 2017 - Global DevOps and Cloud Transformation Consultancy Contino has been awarded the Amazon Web Services Inc (AWS) DevOps Competency.

We’re delighted to announce that Contino has been awarded the AWS DevOps Competency, only weeks after the announcement of its AWS Financial Services Competency achievement. Contino is now one of few consultancies globally to hold both the Financial Services and AWS DevOps competencies.

The AWS DevOps Competency further highlights  [LC1] Contino’s ability to transform software delivery in highly-regulated enterprises through the adoption of DevOps best practices across people, processes and technology. The AWS DevOps Competency process is extremely stringent and includes the auditing of a number of client projects, such as Contino’s full-scale DevOps and cloud transformation work at Allianz, the world’s largest insurance company.

The AWS DevOps Competency is awarded to companies deemed to possess, “deep experience working with businesses to help them implement continuous integration and delivery development patterns or helping them automate infrastructure provisioning and management with configuration management tools on AWS.”

Matt Farmer, Contino Co-founder and CEO, commented on the award: “As Contino’s relationship with AWS goes from strength to strength, I’m thrilled that we have added another AWS Competency to our roster. DevOps and cloud adoption continues to rise as the successes of the early adopters become more and more obvious and the need for transformation becomes clearer and clearer. The AWS DevOps Competency is a fantastic achievement, further underscoring our dedication to helping our clients adopt DevOps in a way that brings maximum value to their end users and to shareholders.”

Benjamin Wootton, Contino Co-founder and CTO, highlighted what the competency means for enterprise clients: “At Contino, we don’t resell services, or run a land-and-expand managed services shop - we look to prove the DevOps concept whilst upskilling client teams in these new ways of working, leaving behind an improved software delivery platform, more effective teams and, most importantly, no long-term dependence on Contino. This Competency will be a great help in demonstrating to clients the incredible effectiveness of DevOps transformation when done properly - and our proven ability to catalyse that transformation.”
